2007年成立之「藝術創意與發展學系」，秉持著嚴謹的辦學態度，結合藝術、創意與科技，培養學生具有靈活的藝術美學與創意思考。除了厚實學生的創作技巧，並提供學生文化經濟與管理相關的知識背景，使本系同學得以結合藝術與文化活動的策劃、創意事業的經營開發與設計、及藝術創作等相關能力，成為未來從事藝術、文化、與設計等創意事業的重要人才。

 

    本系所申請系、所整併並更名，業已通過教育部核定，正式於2010年8月更名為「藝術與設計學系」(含學士班、藝術管理碩士班)。
